Since Aug 12, 2000, we have
-
finally stopped selling patterns and managed to get the latest EASY
pattern on the page. Please enjoy and remember we will soon add some
new dolls and other types of toys - FREE.
Since July 15, 2000, we have
- stopped selling our patterns. After spending all our savings and attempting
to encourage knitters to create 3-dimensional, we have finally given up.
The internet is becoming so busy with sites opening up everywhere, java-windows
popping up all over the place (which I personally think is most intrusive,
especially since most are nothing but advertisements), we no longer desire to
keep up with it or be part of it.
-
Our website will stay open until next year when our domain registration needs
renewal. Until then we will attempt to
bring you some new free patterns, especially clothes for dolls and bears.
Since May 01, 2000, we have
- relocated our pages to dnt-inc.com. After experiencing numerous problems on our domain server for dollette.com (where their hard disc kept running out of room, resulting in the complete loss of our guestbook and the failure of many people to place orders), we have relocated to the patriot.net domain server. You should also notice a much faster download than before. If you have bookmarked any of our pages, please change to this domain.
Since Mar 29th, 2000
- we have activated our fax, so you can now fax your orders. Please go to the
Order Form to get the fax number. We have set the speed to 9600. If this is too slow, let us know. Most of these fax tools, however, run speed negotiation, so this may not apply.
-
decided to terminate our contract with Verisign and replace their encryption service with another. Please Read.
- placed one pattern online as an experiment that may save both you and us time and money. We print all our own patterns and have gone through 5 printers and countless print cartridges in the last 4 years.
- For some reason - and we don't know why - our Guestbook has suffered havoc
this year. First we lost all the entries from last year because our server
had some problems. Next, someone placed obscene messages there while we were
upgrading just these last 2 weeks. We are going to replace it later, when
we will run a parser for entries so this won't happen. However, for now the project is on hold.
Our Latest Status (Jan 07, 2000):
First, many Thank You's to all of you who have expressed concern about our closing the business. We have received many heart warming messages that have helped us make the decision to attempt another year of running this small business of selling knitting patterns for dolls and toys.
We will still try to come up with new projects, but because the business isn't profitable, we are forced to run it part-time, which is why you may have noticed that your order isn't always sent out on time. We do apologize for the recent delays.
Since Nov 10, 1999
- We are making a last attempt to make a success of writing patterns for toys by introducing our lastest tiny creature, the
Seasonal Treats.
If our sales don't increase, we are forced to close our business come
February year 2000.
Since Sept, 1999, we have
- raised Shipping and Handling charges due to increased purchases
of the Greenhowe patterns, which are heavier than expected and consequently
cost more.
- removed the Potato Dolls as free pattern.
- removed our service of displaying customer creations. The intent
was to display creations from our own patterns, but due to the run-off
of the Greenhowe patterns, we simply do not have any more space on our
server.
Updated Apr 1999,
- We finally got it! The secure server is active!..
Since Mar, 1999
- We have switched servers to obtain the necessary security for online purchasing. We are still waiting for a secure certificate from Verisign, who is responsible for encrypting the transactions crossing the network when you enter the data which prevents monitoring by internet 'onlookers'. We sincerely hope that you will use this service once we get it going! It's a costly affair!
- For this reason, we have removed the QUERY mentioned below.
- We have removed the Web Design Page from dollette.com.
Since Jan 5, 1999, we have
- Merged The Beau and Braidette pattern due to similar stitch count. If you would like either pattern added to one you have already purchased, please let us know. We will subtract the price you paid from the $12 dollars for the book and are only asking additional price for the stamp to send it to you.
Since Oct 20, 1998, we have
- Added a Query
to see how you feel about Online Credit Card Service!
Since Oct 1, 1998, we have
Since Aug 19, 1998, we have
- Removed doll pattern "Candyette" formerly known as
Chocolette.
-
Moved the pictures from customers to our patriot server,
allowing enough space for everyone to have their own page.
Your name will be under:
http://patriot.net/~annette/treasures/your name.
Since Aug 16, 1998, we have
-
Added another FREE pattern, this time for
Teletubby PO
Your comments are very important to us, please check out this pattern
and let us know what you think. Thank you so much!
Since July 21, 1998, we have
-
Added a NEW page with pictures from customers. Please send us
a picture of your finished doll or animal and we will post it
for you to show family and friends.
-
Reinstated the Potato Kids, and are
now offering them FREE with purchases of patterns over $30.00.
We hope to continue this great offer.
We have decided to make this retroactive since Jan, 98 -
so if you have made any purchases over said amount, drop us
a note and we will send you the pattern. It's a great basic doll.
-
Changed the deadline date for the introductory offer
on the Diaperettes from August, 98 to end of 98,
due to many advertisements for the dolls to hit the market in the fall.
Since July 5, 1998, we have
-
Added a NEW doll
The Diaperettes
with 2-needle instructions. This was quite an endeavor
for us, as we MUCH prefer to knit these objects on double pointed
needles which leaves no seams and is far the fastest. None of the
dolls seen in pictures were knitted on 2 needles, but the pattern was
tested by Victoria who is a very accomplished finisher.
Since June 2, 1998, we have
-
Reinstated the Potato Kids, which will stay with us for approximately 2 weeks.
Since May 30, 1998, we have
Since May 22, 1998, we have
-
removed the pattern for Rascalette and Angelette - we are
in the process of creating a new BABY pattern to replace
Angelette. Rascalette is gone, however, we plan to
create a doll from the Curlette pattern to recreate her interesting
look.
Since May 15, 1998, we have
-
Added a NEW page displaying our choice of Patterns from
Miss Jean Greenhowe, a
Scottish Lady with an amazing talent. Her objects are incredible.
This lady can create anything with 2 needles. AND her work is
very professional, she is the neatest knitter known.
Since March 11, 1998, we have
Since Feb 28, 1998, we have
-
added a new booklette with sweater patterns for
small bear.
-
added another outfit to the
Braidette
inspired by the Nagano 1998 Olympic Games.
Since Jan 30, 1998, we have
-
removed one outfit from
Sweetlette, and
replaced the outfit with a Winter Outfit. The price
is the same.
-
changed the name of the Chocolette pattern to
Candyettes from
Chocolette. This gives us an opportunity to make other
dolls like the initial doll, with candy colored hair.
-
reknitted the Strawbette(s)
in peach color and added the brother to the picture on the page.
If you feel that these changes affect your recent purchase,
